Finally, This cream cheese banana bread is soft and moist, and the cream cheese filling is like having a layer of cheesecake baked into the moist banana bread. No complaints here!
Ingredients of Cream Cheese Banana Bread

Banana Bread
- All-purpose Flour; Forms the structure of the bread, giving it a soft and fluffy texture. Remember, Avoid compacting the flour, as too much can result in dense banana bread. simply spoon it into the measuring cup
- Baking Soda; Acts as a leavening agent, helping the bread rise and become light and airy.
- Salt; a pinch of salt enhances the flavors in the bread and balances the sweetness.
- Very Ripe Bananas; Adds natural sweetness and moisture to the bread, making it tender and flavorful. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more aromatic they are. Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for maximum sweetness and flavor. Mash these really well using a fork or a potato masher.
- Eggs; Binds the ingredients together and adds richness, giving the bread a soft crumb. Bring these to room temp for better incorporation into the batter.
- Unsalted Butter; Adds richness and moisture to the bread, giving it a soft and tender texture. Using melted butter also intensifies the banana flavor. Unsalted butter allows you to control the salt content in the recipe.
- Light Brown Sugar; Sweetens the bread and adds a hint of caramel flavor, which complements the banana and cream cheese. I have found that more brown sugar than white sugar makes it so that the bread is not too sweet and it has a molasses depth of flavor.
- Vanilla Extract; Adds a warm, aromatic flavor that enhances the sweetness of the bread. Vanilla is the best! Even the smallest drop adds so much flavor.
Cream Cheese Filling

- Cream Cheese (room temperature); Adds a creamy, tangy filling that balances the sweetness of the banana bread, creating a delightful contrast in texture. Use full-fat cream cheese to give the frosting the best creamy, rich texture. The cream cheese should come in a block.
- Sugar; Sweetens the cream cheese filling, giving it a smooth, dessert-like taste.
- Egg; Helps bind the filling, creating a creamy consistency when baked.
- All-purpose Flour; Thickens the cream cheese filling slightly, preventing it from becoming too runny. The flour in the cheesecake filling makes it more dense.
How to Make Cream Cheese Banana Bread
Banana Bread

First, mash the bananas and set them aside. Then, in a large bowl, whisk the melted butter with the brown sugar until the sugar is almost dissolved. Next, add the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract, and whisk again until everything is well combined.

After that, sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, and gently mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Set the batter aside.
Cream Cheese Filling

First, cream together the cream cheese and sugar with a whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Then, add the egg and whisk again. Finally, add the flour and whisk until there are no lumps.
Assembly

Start with preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
Next, pour and spread ¼ of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan. Then, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the batter.
After that, spread another ¼ of the banana batter over the cream cheese filling. Then, sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top.

Finally, bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
